What is your Return Policy?

30 days to request a return from the date you receive your order. Email support@techforgedirect.com with your order number and reason. We will assess your request and, once approved, send you an RMA number and detailed instructions. Do not ship anything back before you have an RMA number.

1. Return shipping costs

You as the customer are responsible for paying the return shipping costs of the items in your order. On freight-shipped machinery this can be substantial — we quote the exact amount in writing before you commit, so you decide with the full figure in front of you.

2. Preparing your return

Parcel-sized items: we email you a return label, and its cost is deducted from your refund. Freight items are collected under a bill of lading we arrange. The item must be unopened, unused and in delivery condition, including all original packaging and accessories, in a condition such that it can be re-sold as new. Machinery must not have been wired in or powered on. Photographic evidence is required.

3. Restocking fee

Change-of-mind returns carry a 25% restocking fee, deducted from your refund. On a $10,000 machine that is $2,500.

4. Damaged or incorrect products

Note it immediately when signing for delivery and send photographs to support@techforgedirect.com the day of delivery. We will ensure you get the correct product you ordered, undamaged, as soon as possible, at no cost to you — no return shipping charge and no restocking fee.

5. Refunds

Processed within 7 business days of your returned item being received and inspected.

Q: Can you increase the crushing force of the drum crushers to more than 38,000 lbs.?
A: The HDC-905 units have a maximum crushing force of 38,000 lbs.

Q: Do you have to hold the button the entire cycle or can you press it and walk away?
A: This is hydraulic unit has a latching circuit that has an automatic operation after a single depression of the hand-held pendant. At the end of the cycle, the unit resets to the start position. To interrupt operation, depress the E-Stop button.

Q: Is the drum crusher spark resistant?
A: No, the HDC units are not spark resistant.

Q: Is the drum crusher explosive proof?
A: No, the HDC units are not explosive proof.

Q: Is this designed to operate without being bolted down?
A: Yes, these drum crushers can be used without being bolted down. There are also fork pockets so the drum crusher can be moved. Please see the owners manual for additional information.

Q: What is the difference between the standard (IDC) and the high cycle (HC)?
A: HDC-905-HC is high cycle version. It has a heavy duty continuous run (with timer) power unit and will basically do unlimited number of cycles. Standard unit is designed for a duty cycle that will allow for crushing or compacting up to 250 drums per week in a typical non-hazardous, indoor room-temperature environment when operated on a three-phase power supply.

Q: We are expecting to crush about 1,500 drums per month. Will this unit work for us?
A: Approximately 2,000 drums per month is possible with HDC-905-HC high cycle crusher. Cycle time is approximately 25 seconds.

Q: What is the compacting plate diameter?
A: The diameter is 21".
