Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 13 August 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how JCO Holdings LLC, a Colorado limited liability company trading as TechForge Direct ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit or buy from techforgedirect.com.
We are the data controller for that information. You can reach us at support@techforgedirect.com, (720) 575-1376, or 1500 N Grant Street, Suite N, Denver, CO 80203, United States (registered office / mailing address — not a retail or warehouse location).
2. What we collect
Information you give us: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, order details, and anything you write in a contact form, order note or email to us. If your business is tax exempt, the exemption certificate you send us.
Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time on site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy.
Information from third parties: our payment processors and fraud-screening providers return the result of authorisation and risk checks. We do not receive or store your full card number.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
3. Why we use it
- To take, process and deliver your order, including passing your delivery details to the manufacturer or freight carrier that ships your equipment
- To contact you about lead times, freight scheduling, quotes for optional delivery services, and order problems
- To handle returns, refunds, cancellations and warranty claims
- To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations
- To detect and prevent fraud
- To measure and improve how the site performs, and — only where permitted — to measure advertising
- To send you marketing email, if you asked us to. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with parties who need it to run this business:
- Shopify Inc. — hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf
- Shopify Payments, PayPal, and other PCI DSS compliant processors — take payment. Card details go directly to them; we never see or store them
- Affirm — if you choose Shop Pay Installments, Affirm underwrites and administers that agreement directly with you
- Manufacturers and freight carriers — receive the delivery name, address and phone number needed to ship and schedule your equipment
- Google — we use Google Analytics and the Google & YouTube sales channel to measure site traffic and product performance
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we are legally required to disclose, or need to establish or defend a legal claim
- A buyer — if the business is sold or merged, subject to this policy
5. How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for at least seven years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Contact-form enquiries and marketing contacts are kept until you ask us to delete them or they go stale. Analytics data is retained according to the provider's own retention settings.
6. Security
The site runs over TLS encryption. Payments are handled by PCI DSS compliant processors and card details are never stored on our systems. Access to customer records is limited to people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, or to opt out of sharing for targeted advertising, email support@techforgedirect.com or use our Your Privacy Choices page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
To make a request, email support@techforgedirect.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.
8. Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for what we set, why, and how to control it.
9. Where your information is held
We sell only within the United States, and our service providers process personal information primarily in the United States. Some providers may process or store data in other countries; where they do, they are contractually required to protect it to the standard described here.
10. Other websites
This site links to third-party sites, including manufacturer documentation and support pages. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always posted here with its effective date. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
