Free shipping is curbside or dock-to-dock delivery to a commercial address in the 48 contiguous states and DC, or parcel delivery for smaller items. We are not currently set up to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or other US territories. Liftgate, residential, limited-access and inside delivery, rigging and crating are not included — typically $150 to several hundred dollars, quoted in writing and charged only with your prior approval.

30 days to request a return from the date you receive your order. Email support@techforgedirect.com with your order number and reason. We will assess your request and, once approved, send you an RMA number and detailed instructions. Do not ship anything back before you have an RMA number.
1. Return shipping costs
You as the customer are responsible for paying the return shipping costs of the items in your order. On freight-shipped machinery this can be substantial — we quote the exact amount in writing before you commit, so you decide with the full figure in front of you.
2. Preparing your return
Parcel-sized items: we email you a return label, and its cost is deducted from your refund. Freight items are collected under a bill of lading we arrange. The item must be unopened, unused and in delivery condition, including all original packaging and accessories, in a condition such that it can be re-sold as new. Machinery must not have been wired in or powered on. Photographic evidence is required.
3. Restocking fee
Change-of-mind returns carry a 25% restocking fee, deducted from your refund. On a $10,000 machine that is $2,500.
4. Damaged or incorrect products
Note it immediately when signing for delivery and send photographs to support@techforgedirect.com the day of delivery. We will ensure you get the correct product you ordered, undamaged, as soon as possible, at no cost to you — no return shipping charge and no restocking fee.
5. Refunds
Processed within 7 business days of your returned item being received and inspected.
6. Cancellations
Cancel any time before your order ships for a full refund with no fee.

3-Stage Separated Filter Cartridges
Each individual filter has a specific function within Filtrabox's 3 stages of filtration:
F9 Pre-filter: The pre-filter removes the majority of the submicronic respirable dust, protecting the critical downstream HEPA filter from strain and premature clogging. The filter media is encased in a strong aluminum cartridge to resist contamination bypass. The high surface area mini-pleat filter media ensures high capacity and efficiency for smaller applications.
HEPA filter: The HEPA filter is tested at 99.999% @ 0.3 microns. This means that it removes 99.999% of the most aerodynamically penetrating particles, known to be 0.3 microns, while smaller and larger particles are even more effectively captured, resulting in extremely clean air; free of respirable dust. The filter media is encased in a rigid aluminum cartridge to resist contamination bypass. The high surface area mini-pleat filter media ensures high capacity and efficiency for smaller applications.
Gas Filter: The gas filter is filled with a blend of high-grade activated carbon and potassium permanganate, which removes the broadest spectrum of laser-generated VOC gases at the molecular level. The adsorption media ensures high capacity and efficiency for smaller applications.
Why Filtrabox uses individually separated filters HEPA and gas filters vs. combined HEPA/Carbon filters:
Different materials produce different proportions of dust vs. VOC gases. For example, lasering acrylic produces 90% VOC gases and 10% dust. Conversely, lasering wood produces 10% gases and 90% dust. With individually separated filters, each filter can be replaced when it actually is spent which varies with each material lasered. In the case of lasering acrylic, the gas filter will need replacement sooner than the dust filter because of the high gas to dust ratio. This is not a problem when using separate filters. Each individual filter can be replaced as needed, which saves money and reduces landfills. In contrast, in a combined filter where the HEPA and Gas filters are inseparable, the barely used HEPA filter portion may have to be sacrificed because the gas portion is spent (or vice-versa). This is wasteful and less economic.
Why are Rigid Filter Cartridges so important?
Filtrabox systems use high-pressure vacuum blowers to suction the fumes out from the laser and into high-efficiency filters. As the filters load up with dust, the negative pressure within Filtrabox increases. The sheet-metal cabinet and seals are designed to resist deformation and air leaks under extreme pressure. Therefore, the filters must also be able to resist deformation to prevent dust and VOC leakage. All Filtrabox filter cartridges are built tough, using a thick aluminum box structure to resist flex so that the rubber seals can maintain contact with the sealing surfaces. Cardboard cased filters flex and crumple under a load of typical fume extractor pressures, leading to leakage of contaminants.

Modularity for Serviceability
Filtrabox fume extractors use many complex electronic components and sensors to monitor and control their performance. However, Filtrabox has simplified these systems by consolidating the components into two simple and removable modules:
Electronics Module: This module includes all the blower control and power systems.
Blower Module: This module includes the blower and flow sensor.
User Interface Module: This module includes all the components related user interface.
In the event of a field issue, Filtrabox tech support needs only to identify which of the three modules is at fault, and the replacement module is dispatched to you immediately. The modules are simple to replace with only a few plug-and-play wire harnesses – no tech experience required.
Intelligent Flow Control
Advanced sensors and digital controls automatically adjust airflow to maintain optimal extraction as filters load, ensuring consistent performance throughout the filter lifecycle.
